Long haul flights are always difficult, especially if you are flying in economy class. Flight attendants can help make the journey more pleasant and comfortable.
Here Are A Few Tips To Make A Good Impression:-
1) Be Polite and Have Good Manners:
When you board the plane the flight attendants always make it a point to be present and greet everyone warmly, least you can do is return the favour. When you ask them to do something always say please and thank you.
2) Be Attentive and Listen To the Safety Instructions:
Flight attendants are required to give you a safety demonstration, listen to it carefully as it respects their effort.
3) Take Your Earphones Out When the Flight Attendants Are Asking You A Question:
It's not only good manners but will make a good impression on the staff and the happier the staff, the better the service. Just think how you would feel if you were asking a question and the flight attendants had earphones on.
4) Take Responsibility of Your Own Luggage:
The flight attendants are always happy to assist, but don't forget that they are human too , be flexible and understanding if the luggage needs to be moved , repositioned or taken to the hold. As boarding is the most hectic time for the flight attendants, it would make the boarding process simpler for them and make them appreciate your kindness.
5) Keep the Aisle Clear:
The aisle is the workspace for the cabin crew so give them plenty of space to work efficiently and comfortably.
6) Plan Ahead:
Often the flight attendants have over a 100 people to tend to, planning your drink or snack order beforehand is a great time saver and will be highly appreciated by the staff.
7) Appreciate Their Work:
If you were delighted with the service delivery of the cabin crew, write an appreciation letter to their employer about it. It always feels good to be appreciated for a job well done and this in turn makes the flight attendants more passionate about their work and motivates them to work harder.
Sometimes being kind to people is its own reward. But these small changes can lead to a better experience for you as well as the flight staff.
